TechPowerUp reviewed the UPerfect UMax 24 as a uniquely large portable monitor, redefining portability with its spacious 24.5-inch QHD (2560×1440) IPS panel. Despite its generous size, the monitor remains genuinely portable at only around 2.64 kg and less than one inch thick. The UPERFECT UMax 24 pushes the limits of what can be considered a portable monitor. It packs a 24.5" QHD screen with a 165 Hz refresh rate, and offers good overall performance—if you know how to unlock it. Although it won't fit into your backpack, the supplied travel case and built-in kickstand make it an interesting option for various use cases.
Performance-wise, the UMax 24 impressed with sharp visuals, accurate colors, and smooth motion clarity. Input lag was notably low at approximately 3 ms, providing a responsive experience suitable for productivity tasks and casual gaming alike. Peak brightness reached around 320 nits, suitable for indoor usage but less ideal in very bright outdoor conditions. Heat output and power consumption remained minimal, underscoring the monitor’s efficiency. At roughly $440, TechPowerUp concluded that the UPerfect UMax 24 offers excellent value for users who desire large-screen productivity in a conveniently portable form factor.
